The coloration of preserved A. yutujae specimens is described as light brown, with small light-colored, mostly blurry spots. The bare snout and the fins have no pattern. The abdomen is brown to yellowish brown with small spots. The ovoid sucker-mouth is large, and has numerous double-pointed teeth.
