Seidel, (2025);
This bristlenose catfish is a small species and rarely grows larger than 4 inches in length. The first imports measured around 4.7 inches. The species has a slightly wider and flatter body. Its color is grayish brown with a black wormline pattern, fine on the head, getting coarser towards the caudal peduncle. The ventral side is light gray in color, with blurry wormlines that sometimes fade out. The fins have wavy black lines. The males grow relatively thin tentacles of medium length, which can branch out several times. In juveniles, the tips of the caudal fin are white.
