References
Evers, (2018);
This small, plainly colored, flat bristlenose catfish is grayish brown with unspectacular light-colored dots. The fins have dark bands. The tentacles of the males are as uncommon as they are stunning: Thick, branching tentacles protrude horizontally from the snout rim; none point upwards. The huge oval sucker-mouth is characteristic; it has numerous papillae and a large number of the tiniest teeth in both jaws.
