Evers, (2005);
Around 4.7 inches long, with a beautiful orange brown color (especially when the fish are well), and a fine dark reticulated pattern, which fades during fright coloration. The reddish brown eyes are another characteristic. The ventral side not form big antlers. Juveniles with a light-colored tip on the upper lobe of the caudal fin. When the code number L 393 was alloted, a juvenile as well as an adult male of the species were shown, however, the latter probably belonged to another species which looks like a plain version Ancistrus yanesha!
