Small black bristlenose catfish with wider body and white dots that get scarcer around the caudal peduncle in the fin edges. Caudal fin with white tips, very clearly expressed in juvenile specimens, getting smaller when the fish age. The ventral side is dark with only few white dots. The sucker-mouth is relatively large.
