Seidel & Evers (2005)
A small bristlenose catfish that is very clear about its origins. As mountain species, it has a very flat body. It is of a plain grayish brown color, with lighter-colored spots. The huge sucker-mouth holds numerous tiny teeth, which characterizes the species as a limnivore. The tentacles of the males are thin and also sit on top of the head. The hard fin rays of the ventral fins are uncommonly strongly covered in odontodes.
