Medium-sized, dark brown Ancistrus with roundish, cream-colored spots on the body, and smaller light-colored spots in the fins, which sit in bands. The spots on the rays of the pectoral fins are reddish brown. Their sucker-mouth is relatively small. Males with shorter tentacles on the head than most other species.
