Konn-Vetterlein, (2019);
This Ancistrus looks like the brown counterpart of A. ranunculus, their body shapes are practically identical, as are the relatively short fins and the not circular, but oval sucker-mouth. Only the color is different, brown with an attractive reticulated pattern on the dorsal part. The light-colored ventral side also has a netted pattern of darker lines. The tentacles of the males are different from A. ranunculus, male L 514 have more and thinner, unbranching appendages on their head.
