References
Seidel, (2016);
This slender dark brown bristlenose catfish has distinguished yellowish dots. Even though it grows to over 4.7 inches in nature, aquarium-kept specimens stay smaller. Like the back, the ventral side is dark in color, with light-colored dots. The males have dense thin, rather short tentacles on top of their head, and around the snout rim, which miss practically entirely in the females. Juveniles with beautiful light-colored, sometimes orange fin seams.
